FAQ

Our policies

Meet and greets are required in-home for all dogs. This lets us know how your dog reacts to new people. Your dog also has the chance to get to know their walker/pet sitter. Cats and other small animals do not require a meet and greet, with the exception of those that need medication/special needs.

If you prefer a video call/zoom meet & greet, rather than in-person, we do that too! Only for small animals.

Your dog must be up-to-date with their Rabies vaccination. We don’t foresee your dog having an incident, however it’s best to be prepared for an emergency situation.

Payments

Service fees are charged upfront. No worries if you need to cancel, we’ll refund or credit your account.

Invoices are emailed and you make payments easily online. No need to create an account or take extra steps. (Past due amounts will incur a $50 late fee)

We do not have upcharges for holidays and peak seasons. Rates are fixed year round.

A 24 hour cancellation notice is required to refund your booking fee.

Text, call or email to cancel: (719) 357-8857 or Info@RockyMountainDogWalkers.com

Key exchange

We require 2 sets of keys for key-entry homes. One key remains with your dog walker/pet sitter. Another key stays with the main office for emergencies. Keys will be returned on request without a trip fee IF scheduled in conjunction with the last day of service.

  • There is a $10 trip fee for key return without service. The trip fee is required to be paid prior to us scheduling the key return.

Inclement Weather

In the event of severe weather, normal dog walks and nature hikes will be canceled. Vacation care services (pet sitting and overnights) will remain scheduled. Pet owners will be notified as soon as possible of cancellations.
